About

Hi, I am Shantala, and as cliché as it sounds, this is my online home. I live in the East Coast of USA, with my husband, and an over-active toddler, but I am originally from Mumbai, India. I have a Master’s in Business Administration, and an opinion on everything! 😉

SHANAYA TALES – A Bookish Lifestyle Blog

Books, are my therapy of choice. I read to de-stress. Last year (2015), I decided to document my silent (or not so silent anymore) reading life; hence the blog.

While the original plan was to use this blog as a journal, this space soon became my gateway to the entire virtual bookish world, and it has been (and continues to be) a joy to connect with book lovers all around the world.

This is the place where I express my love for the written word – sharing everything from reviews to general bookish blabber.

But it is not confined to that. Mostly because, while being a reader is a large part of how I identify myself, I am so much more than just that. That is the part which comes pouring out in the Parenting & Everyday Living Segments.

So, while I don’t think there is a niche like that – SHANAYA TALES is essentially a Bookish Lifestyle Blog; mostly books, but so much more! I hope you enjoy your time here. 🙂

  11. Ah I know you :-). Always fun to read your bookish chatter and I enjoy your reviews – mostly because I often feel the same way about the books. As for the parenting and everyday-living bits that creep in – Well who can stop that? And they make for great reading too. See you around.
