I once read somewhere that the best proof of someone’s intelligence is their ability to simplify the complex. The people who are confident in their knowledge do not hesitate to share it with others in a way that is easily understood. Whereas, people who attempt to talk over people’s heads through the use of overly complex terms and jargons, are typically those who lack a true understanding of the subject themselves and are trying to mask that fact.
Sometimes, it is important for us to understand that we don’t need to use complex terms to sound smart or intelligent. True genius lies in our ability to keep it simple. Simplicity should reflect not just in our words, but our thoughts and our actions too. When we make simplicity a way of life, a lot of happiness can be derived from the simple little things in our lives.
After all, like they say, the essence of life is not in the great victories or the grand failures, but in the simple joys.
Life is joyfully simple. How about we keep it that way? 🙂

I believe in KISS and it works every time. In fact we all know that the most difficult problems are usually solved with the simplest solutions. 🙂

Very true. However, we normally overlook the simple ones initially. I think we are just wired that way. 🙂

very true ! to communicate in a simple language is an art. Not everybody does it, but when we do, it becomes so easy for the other to understand without any complications. I remember 3 idiots movie where Aamir Khan will try to answer a question in a simple way, (what is a machine?) which the professor will not like it, and will expect him to use the terminology given in the text book.. its really fun to watch.. some knowledgeable always try to complicate simple things by using scientific jargons

That all makes so much sense. Good teachers are the ones who can make it simple or at least seem that way.

Yep. They are the best kind of teachers. 🙂

Couldn’t agree more. It’s something I constantly try to adhere to with my articles (I’m a German content writer first and a romance novelist second).

Yeah, as long as we are clear in our mind about something, it will reflect in our words and actions. 🙂

Very good post. simplicity is indeed the key to a peaceful life. Simplicity in life, emotions, thoughts… Yet not the kind of simplicity that denies the complexity but rather transforms it into something divinely harmonious and beautifully simple.

You have told the truth very simply. The moment someone starts jargoning, I mentally switch off. He is probably trying to confuse me is my next thought. As a programmer, one of my theories is that the ‘most complex problem will surely have a simple solution’ and it works. Lovely post.
