New Series Announcement – Diary of a Book Blogger #BlogAnnouncement

AnnouncementToday, I am very excited to announce a new series on my blog titled – Diary of A Book Blogger. This is something that has been on mind for the past several months, and is finally going to kick off on the blog coming Monday.

Here is the thing, while I enjoy reading, reviewing and discussing books, I also ย love to discuss all things bookish – especially the things that are on my mind as a reader/reviewer/blogger – for instance, my thoughts on the book rating system, and giving out negative reviews , as well as more broad-based things like the importance of setting reading goals, and forming a regular reading habit.

However, in the โ€˜real worldโ€™ I am mostly surrounded by non-readers, who have about as much interest in discussing this as watching grass grow. ๐Ÿ˜›

But when I started to blog, I came across the wonderful reading/writing community online, and it has been a joy to connect with all of you. I hope that you will join in the discussion and share your views, as I would love to hear from you guys.

As always, I appreciate your feedback, so do let me know your thoughts on this in the comments section. ๐Ÿ™‚

Lots of Love

  5. Very interesting idea, Shantala! Looking forward to it. All the best!

  6. So, this doesn’t look like a separate blog but, rather, a weekly series? If it is consistently on the same day or days, then I think it’s a great idea that should work well for you. Fans of what you are doing will know when to read you and your interactions will grow, and those who would rather watch grass grow can stay away and watch the grass grow (or the snow fall, depending on your climate). Best of luck. I hope you will find many people eager to participate.

  7. Hey Shanaya
That’s an interesting initiative and many of us will learn from each other. Looking forward to read your thoughts and insights.

  11. Shanaya, Love the idea. I do the same too and tag them under Book Gupshup. I faced the same problem of not having anyone to discuss the books I read. I would love to engage with you on this.

  12. Sounds interesting! Looking forward to it……
