Finally! It is the day of the Great Theme Reveal for the A to Z Challenge 2015. For those who are new to the A to Z Challenge – it is a daily blogging challenge during the month of April. 26 posts for 26 days, that match the 26 letters of the alphabet (April 1 – A, April 2 -B and so on..), with a break every Sunday. There can be a theme for the month or it can be random – as long as it matches the letter of the alphabet for the day.
I came across this challenge through a blogger I really enjoy reading – Shailaja. She had posted about ‘#AtoZchallenge – Lessons from the Past’. The post piqued my curiosity enough to hop on to the A to Z Challenge Blog and read up all about it. In less than an hour, I had signed up.
There are times you need to think things through, and times that you need to jump right in. I am glad I did the latter with this one. As I am sure if I had even considered this for a day, I would have been intimidated enough to add this to my “One Day..” list. We all know what happens to most items on THAT list. 🙂
Once I signed up, I had this vision where I had finished writing ALL the posts by March 15th, and was even visiting the other participants in advance to get to know them better. I was so confident in my vision that I even volunteered to help one of the co-hosts of the challenge – Susan Gourley (Did you notice my shiny dragon soldier badge in the sidebar? 😀 ).
Clearly, my ‘visions of the future’ department doesn’t function too well , as I am still writing my way through the posts. Nonetheless, I am glad I am a part of this, as the challenge hasn’t even begun, and I am throughly enjoying the process of planning the posts, writing them, looking for images to go with them etc.
Coming to the theme for the challenge, My THEME for The A TO Z Challenge 2015 will be ‘Positive & Inspired Living A to Z’. This was an easy choice as I am a huge fan of positive/ inspirational quotes and stories. On a good day, they bring a smile to my face. On a not-so-great day, they are my pick-me-up. During this challenge, I will share some such quotes/stories and personal experiences, which brighten my day, in hope that it will brighten yours.
If I am able to bring even a hint of a smile on your face, and brighten your day the slightest bit, I will consider this month well spent. 🙂
Are you participating in the #ATOZChallenge this year? Do you have a theme? What is your theme?
